If anyone knows Sr. Eileen, you know she doesn't take "no" for an answer. She is constantly on the move, helping, praying, and promoting (as you can tell by her active FB page)! And once again, she has proved that time is not a deterrent to her dreams 🎓. She received her BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) from UMKC (University of Missouri at Kansas City) this past Saturday, December 14, 2019 👩🏻⚕️. For the past 5 years, she has been working diligently on her "spare" time to advance her knowledge and attain this degree. We could not be more proud of her👏 ! And inspired with her example of perseverance!
Sr. Jacinta, our Regional Superior, and every CMR community sent representatives to show our support and pride! We wanted to make time from our busy ministry schedules and upcoming Christmas activities to be present and personally congratulate Sr. Eileen. Sr. Theresa from Kansas City, Sr. Janine and Sr. Marie from Irving and Sr. Julie and Postulant Catherine from Saint Louis.
Sr. Eileen's mother and sister also flew in from Minnesota Thursday morning to attend the ceremony ✈️. They treated us to many delicious traditional Vietnamese foods such as lẩu biển 🍲and chạo tôm 🍤. It was wonderful to have this time to get to know Sr Eileen's family and re-affirm them how special Sr Eileen's vocation is to our US Region 😇.
Sr. Eileen has been working full-time as a RN in Kansas City for many years👩🏻⚕️. On top of this, she actively volunteers at two parishes on the weekend. Always full of energy 💪 (which she says is from Jesus ✝️ and lots of prayer🙏), she helps heal many souls physically as well as spiritually. For Sr. Eileen, everything is for the greater glory of God ✝️!
Please continue to pray for her and her future endeavors! 🙏 Check out the photos below! 📸
